ATLANTA - The Georgia State University men’s and women’s track teams will compete in the Virginia Tech Challenge, the climax to Georgia State’s indoor track schedule, this Friday and Saturday at the Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va.

More than 20 teams will compete in the Challenge, which is a non-team-scoring meet. Action will begin at 5 p.m. and continue throughout the evening. Saturday’s action will begin at noon.

The highly competitive Virginia Tech Challenge will mark the first meet the majority of State’s athletes will travel together; in previous weeks the team has sent partial squads to compete. Seniors scheduled to compete include Jacob English, Jay Morrill, Zaven O'Bryant and Tim Wood for the men.

Denisha Bryant, Nicole Davis, LaDrica Derrico, Adaku Ezeonwuka, Alex Friel, Rachel Hannah, Ashantia Harris, Ashley King, Alexandra Roze'fort and Denice Vance will represent the senior women at the Challenge.

The Panthers will also have an opportunity to size up their conference competition, as five of the nine CAA track teams will be in attendance, including George Mason, William & Mary, UNCW, James Madison and VCU.
